Real Moms Share: What's the best advice your mom shared with you?

Happy May! Mother's Day is right around the corner so we asked our Guava Family Brand Ambassadors to share some of the best advice their moms shared with them, see what they shared below.

"My mom told me to accept help. Often times, moms may feel compelled to be "super mom" and handle everything because we want to prove that we can well, handle it all. Too often though, we become overwhelmed and exhausted to enjoy the sweet moments of motherhood. Allowing others to step in and lend a hand will be so freeing and it might take practice at first, but eventually the sigh of relief and (maybe brief) moment of relaxation will allow you to take in the moments that you'd otherwise have missed." "I would say the best advice I’ve ever gotten was that “there is a last time for everything” at first I was like what is she talking about?! Then I started thinking about it, there will be a last time that your little one will crawl, laugh at your silly face or phrase that made then laugh when they were itty bitty and there will be a last time they will want you to carry them around (believe it or not haha). What I took from it was that I need to be paying more attention to the little things, pick up my baby when he wants and steal as many kisses as I can now while he can’t tell me to stop. Enjoy the journey & cuddles!!! " Ashley (@ashley_aamot)

“This too shall pass. Before you know it, you will be wishing to have these moments back - the good, the bad, and the ugly.” Hannah (@hgwinnfran)

"The best advice my mom has ever shared with me is always be nice to others and treat them how you want to be treated. Self care is important you can’t pour from an empty cup so take care of yourself so that you can be the best mama!" Kristianna (@lifewithkristiannajade)
